The OnePlus 8 Pro, the new flagship device from OnePlus, will be the topic of our discussion today. This smartphone boasts an impressive set of features, including a triple camera setup and dual SIM capability. We will take a closer look at the camera's performance and explore some personal experiences with the phone.

I purchased the international version of the OnePlus 8 Pro, and overall, I am quite satisfied with my experience. The phone is incredibly fast, and the screen and color are beautiful. The battery life is impressive, and the charging is fast. However, the fingerprint reader located in-screen is the worst reader I have ever experienced. It barely recognizes my fingerprints, making it difficult to access my phone. The sim tray is also a bit funky, making it difficult to change SIMs easily. Despite these issues, the phone is still super responsive and has some great programmable gestures.

With a triple camera set up featuring standard wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto lenses, as well as an additional near-infrared sensor called a color filter camera, the camera performance of the OnePlus 8 Pro is exceptional. The main camera boasts a large 48-megapixel quad Bayer sensor resulting in a 12-megapixel output with optical image stabilization. The ultra-wide shooter comes with a 48-megapixel sensor and a 14-millimeter lens for video, and the device can shoot 4K footage at 60 or 30 frames per second, all powered by Qualcomm's Fast 8 65 chips at M. While the OnePlus 8 Pro's camera isn't vastly different from the 7 Pro, it still delivers excellent images with close to the best exposure, color, and detail we’ve seen. The device controls white balance at least as well and often better than top-tier devices in our database, with generally nice rendering, accurate white balance, and consistent results. However, the device does struggle with zoom and has a few small penalties applied to its score due to artifacts, such as a loss of sharpness towards the corners of the frame, ghosting on moving subjects, and aliasing.

Its in-screen fingerprint reader, which has received criticism from some buyers, is one potential downside of the OnePlus 8 Pro. Many have reported issues with the reader not recognizing fingerprints, making it difficult to access password-protected apps. While some users have been able to adjust to the reader and get readings three out of four times, others have found it to be one of the worst readers they’ve ever experienced. If you rely heavily on fingerprint access, it may be worth considering other options.

Despite offering dual-SIM capabilities, some buyers have reported technical limitations that prevent the feature from working in certain situations for the OnePlus 8 Pro. This can be frustrating for those who need dual-SIM functionality, as the device may not meet their needs. It's important to carefully consider your requirements before purchasing the OnePlus 8 Pro, especially if dual-SIM support is essential.

Delivering excellent performance, the OnePlus 8 Pro has a fast and responsive interface powered by Qualcomm's SM8250 Snapdragon 865 (7 nm+) and Octa-core (1×2) overall.84 GHz Kryo 585 & 3×2.42 GHz Kryo 585 & 4×1.8 GHz Kryo 585) processors. The device boasts 256GB storage and 12GB RAM, with no card slot for additional storage. The battery life is strong, and the charging is fast, even when not using warp (high-speed) charging brick.

With a sleek and modern design, the OnePlus 8 Pro features a 6.78-inch Fluid AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 3168 pixels, making it an impressive device.78-inch fluid AMOLED capacitive touchscreen and 1B colors, protected by

Overall, the OnePlus 8 Pro is an intuitive, capable phone with a fantastic camera, huge storage, fast, and wonderful display. It's 5G ready and has an ample memory, making it a great option for those who need a reliable phone. The dual SIM capability is a plus, although the sim tray could use some improvement. The fingerprint reader is a disappointment, but it is something that I can work around. Despite its drawbacks, the OnePlus 8 Pro is an excellent phone that provides excellent value for its price.
